
Safe Return of Over 200 Fleeing Citizens: Indian Army Praised for Myanmar Border Operation "NEW DELHI: Over 200 Indian citizens who had crossed the Myanmar border from Manipur due to ethnic violence in the northeastern state have safely returned. Manipur's Chief Minister, Biren Singh, expressed gratitude towards the Indian Army for ensuring their safe return. "Relief and appreciation as 212 Indian citizens (all Meiteis) who sought refuge across the Myanmar border following the unrest in Moreh town of Manipur since May 3 have been successfully brought back to Indian territory," stated Chief Minister Biren Singh.
